Join us for a fun evening of Pitch Karaoke!

About this Event

WHAT is Pitch Karaoke?

In celebration of Lowell Women’s Week, the Innovation Hub and Women Accelerators will be hosting our first-ever Pitch Karaoke event.

Pitch Karaoke is a fun improv game where experienced and novice entrepreneurs are put on the spot to test their creative and impromptu presentation skills. It’s the ultimate test of innovative thinking: pitch a concept that is not your own without rehearsal. We are psyched to have the talented Joey Banh, Program Director of The Lowell Plan and former Sr. Program Manager of EforAll, and a seasoned entrepreneur to be our emcee for the event – it’s a show you won’t want to miss!

HOW does it work?

The concept of Pitch Karaoke is simple. Presenters receive a topic to sell just before they address the audience. Once on stage, each presenter will get:

• A never-before-seen (slightly ridiculous) pitch deck with 3-4 slides

• 3 minutes to “sell” the deck to the audience

• The chance to win prizes based on audience vote

WHO should attend?

If you can pitch improv, you can pitch anywhere! Hone your pitching skills in a non-threatening and entertaining atmosphere. Join us for an evening of laughter and networking. Be part of the vote or come to pitch if creativity strikes! We welcome first-timers and experienced presenters, or somewhere in between!

WHY should you attempt to pitch?

  • Embrace the Unknown
  • Bragging Rights!
  • Win a Prize

Want to pitch?

Register to attend – then sign-up as a presenter on the day. Note this does NOT guarantee you a spot. We will draw names of presenters the day-of.

This is a free event but you must register to attend!

Light refreshments will be provided.

The fine print:

This is purely a community improv night meant to bring the Lowell startup community together and challenge people in different ways. This is NOT an opportunity to pitch your company, nor do the results mean anything for your company’s success. There will be ample time for networking before and after the event, so bring your business cards, but leave your decks at home.

Parking

Free parking is available in the Canal Street lot located adjacent to our building on 110 Canal Street, Lowell.
