In this fireside chat, learn about ways and strategies to “reverse the she-cession”

About this Event

Women are already earning 20% less than men in equivalent jobs and COVID has set women back even farther!

Four times more women than men dropped out of the workforce in September, according to economic data released from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, affirming fears that women’s careers are collapsing under the pressures of caring for and educating children through a pandemic.

In addition, COVID 19 has hit jobs for women that are represented in schools, summer camps, childcare, etc. In fact, as many as 2 million women are considering opting out of work or leaving the workforce altogether.

We are excited of having Shirley Leung, columnist and associate editor at the Boston Globe, and Susanne Althoff, author of the book Launching While Female, to discuss strategies to bring women back to work.

Check out Shirley’s latest article for some insights into talking points and come prepared with questions!
